Susan Childs is best known as "Rock and Roll Gypsy" - the name of her label while she was creating costume pieces and accessories inspired by the romantic gypsy style fashion of legendary songstress Stevie Nicks. Some of her creations were featured on actress Sara Rue when she starred in the Todd Stephens film "Gypsy 83" (playing a character named Gypsy, loosely based on Susan). Her work has also been seen on VH-1 ("Fan Club" and "Rock Across America"), in JANE magazine, and on various stage performers - including touring rock drummer & motivational speaker Mark Schulman ,who has toured with artists such as Stevie Nicks and Cher, spent much of 2007 going around the world with Pink (he's wearing a custom made necklace by Susan Childs in the photo on the main page of his site). Susan was also able to personally present a fringey "shawl jacket" of her own design to Stevie Nicks backstage at Caesar's, Las Vegas 2005 along with an 18k gold & diamond dove and tambourine pendant (a creative collaboration with famed Philadelphia jeweler Henri David)
Susan has been focusing on her jewelry designs since 2006 and while she no longer sews or creates her signature costume pieces such as the Gypsy Bag (tm), much of her creative inspiration still comes from the music she loves.
