The film "Gypsy 83" is finally available on DVD....whoo hooo!!!  As of this writing, you can purchase the DVD online at www.amazon.com  (search for Gypsy 83) ....it is also available for rental at various  chains across the country, including Blockbuster and Hollywood Video.  I am proud to have been a part of this film, and you can click on the links below to see some of my pics from location shoots and the first premiere.  The film's writer/director, Todd Stephens, is an old friend of mine and I was so tickled when he told me that the character of Gypsy was inspired by me.   Sara Rue (of ABC-TV's "Less Than Perfect") stars as Gypsy, and she wore many items of clothing and jewelry in the film that were loaned out of my own wardrobe.  I was also asked to create numerous items for Sara to wear, including the black feather barrettes she is sporting in the DVD box's cover photo.   More of my Stevie Nicks-inspired creations that can be spotted in the film include a replica of the gold-spotted "Stand Back" cape (in Clive's bedroom scene), a gold-glittered black cape (in the karaoke bar scene), a purple-glittered black lace cape (in the outdoor twirling scene at the rest stop), a crocheted & feather Rhiannon headdress (while driving the Trans Am), BellaDonna hairbeads (at Night of 1000 Stevies), various of my Gypsy Bag purses, and the burgundy cape covered with crystals (worn when Gypsy first arrives at Night of 1000 Stevies, and also seen in the final scene).  Many people ask me why Stevie's own music was not featured in the film....please note that this was ONLY because Stevie's management refused permission.  Please support this film by renting or purchasing.....all of us involved with "Gypsy 83" appreciate it!!!

Above..... "Gypsy 83" star Sara Rue at Night Of 1000 Stevies.  Sara performed the song "Gypsy" (of course).  The burgundy burnout velvet cape is by Rock And Roll Gypsy (from my personal collection; this cape was also used in the film's pivotal Night of 1000 Stevies scene and in the final scene. The cape now belongs to a private collector.

Above.... This is my sweet Grandma, Helen, who was 91 years old at the time.  The photo was snapped on November 2, 2000 at QVC Studio Park after we attended  the Kirks Folly jewelry show.  Grandma was dressed entirely in her own Stevie Nicks style fairy godmother outfit, which I made for her, and she carried her own Gypsy Bag.  And of course she had a Kirks Folly pin on her headwreath and lots of Kirks necklaces and bracelets on!  I am a devoted collector of Kirks Folly's beautiful, enchanting jewelry and can't recommend it highly enough....their pins are fabulous to put on my Gypsy Bags, why not try it yourself?  Click on their website link above, or look for their items on QVC's website
